The Orthopaedic & Spine Surgery department treats bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and the spine — from fractures after an accident to long-standing knee and back pain. Fracture fixation with plates, screws and rods, knee and hip replacement and arthroscopic (keyhole) ligament surgery are available.
Many problems such as slip disc, sciatica, arthritis and frozen shoulder are first treated with medicines and physiotherapy; surgery is advised only when needed.
